Intensive Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and implementing penalties," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor died and three other people were injured.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
