The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' saying that draws so many fans into the National Football League
This outcome could have created things up for the Patriots to creep back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 rivals
Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to set up a major confrontation in week 11, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the MVP award
Analysis - Simply an Off Day for the Bills?
Was it just an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or something more? That's the question for the Buffalo team to answer
The Bills had won seven in a consecutive games against the Dolphins but were second best from the beginning as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 victors in an surprising outcome - and performance
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the team's initial first down in the third period and first points in the final quarter - admittedly the Dolphins had ten days to prepare but it was still a significant failure laid by one of the NFL's top offences
Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but running back Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two scores
Bottling up the NFL's top rushing attack was also key, with James Cook and teammates registering just 86 yards, their fewest of the season and just over half their 161.5 yard season average
Additionally there were the three crucial turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the scoring area meaning a nine minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that the Dolphins turned into seven points just later
It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, falling into a deficit on defensive side and Josh Allen attempting to do too much to rescue his squad from the situation - rather than the calm, controlled, balanced Bills we've witnessed this season
Miami have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the beginning of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a nice lead at the summit of the AFC East
Spotlight - Patriots See Path to Surprise Top Seed
Speaking of the New England, they're one of three different eight and two teams in the league, all American Football Conference teams, but are they the best?
One could pick holes in New England, Denver and Indianapolis really for dominating the weaker opponents, with just five of their total twenty-four victories coming against opponents with a winning record - and one of those was the Indianapolis beating the Broncos
The Broncos beat the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the final quarter while Indy can rely on Jonathan Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's win in Tampa to their prime time success in Buffalo appears to be a declaration
Their two defeats occurred in new head coach Mike Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven consecutive wins, just like the Broncos, from that point - but defeating Baker Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a week off to prepare was significant
Drake Maye's MVP claims continue to be discussed, and he certainly deserves credit for courage after taking some hard tackles in Tampa but hanging in there to guide his team to victory
The defense is reliable and rookie rusher Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - establishing himself as just the fifth different runner to break 22mph this year on his initial touchdown
Although you can argue who 'the best' is statistically, the Patriots should be favorites to end with the top record due to their schedule - which includes just a single matchup against a successful opponent, although a huge one against Buffalo
Traveling to Baltimore is challenging too, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Kansas City to play twice, the Chargers (who could also challenge for top seed but face the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the schedule
The Indianapolis also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There is a long way to go but the door is open for a surprise top seed in the American Football Conference
Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Next Week Clash
Two teams with solid claims to be better than all of the three different eight and two teams are NFC West opponents the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who both scored 40 burgers to go to 7-2 before the upcoming major game between the pair in Los Angeles
They've both won four in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold performing at an high standard (although Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with top receivers, and defensive units giving up under 20 points a contest
Both could easily be without a loss as too - particularly the Los Angeles as their pair of losses came in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a potentially winning kick with the final play blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a score
The Seahawks were also defeated to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in week one, before losing to the final play of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they're genuinely two of the top teams in the NFL
The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the season to date
Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor
Taylor might be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Berlin - running for 244 rushing yards, registering three scores and adding another 42 {receiving yards
